It’s just a shortcut link to archive.is. Pretty simple, nothing is happening on Lemmy server side if you use it.
Though, the choice to integrate that service has also gotten criticism as archive.is isn’t the best site and has a lot of problems and shortcomings.
I would think Internet Archive is ideal
It’s absolutely the case, and I see no way for the West to counter China at this point. The main reason being that China is centrally planned while the West consists of many factions that are at odds with one another. Historically, central organization has always beaten ad hoc efforts.
