Wait… they’re supposed to be police officers… and they’re dressed like marines? Am I interpreting this photo correctly? What the hell is going on?

Doesn’t that surplus also get sold to civvies? Or did they clamp down on that?

So were the US military personnel in Afghanistan.

If we need to engage the US police in armed conflict in our lifetimes, it is good to utilize asymmetric warfare strategy. Asymmetric warfare is is the type of war conducted against an opponent who vastly overpowers you in technology, resources, etc.

If the enemy goes high tech, you go low tech. If the enemy advances, you withdraw. If the enemy occupies, you harass. If the enemy is monitoring cell phones, don’t use cell phones.

Sure, the police might be suited up in $35k of weapons and armor, but you can nullify all of that with a $25 pipe bomb. Also not all police are armed like that all the time. Some good first targets in a violent revolution would be some small town municipal centers, you know, the kinds of towns with only a few thousand people and they just combine the police department with some bureaucrat building. A town of 2k people might only have 4 or 5 pigs on payroll, and not all of them will be working at the same time. A bomb and a quick 3-5 minute or less post boom raid can cripple that town’s ability to deploy pigs and also might gain you some weapons and armor for the comrades. Then scatter and let nearby cities and sheriff departments waste resources sending a bunch of people. When the enemy occupies, you harass. When the enemy advances, you withdraw.

I just encountered one of these G.I. cops at my local convenience store. He was wearing a camo baseball cap and half of his gear looked like a soldier’s. As I was walking out he said (paraphrased) ‘It’s good walking up here this morning, isn’t it? Nice and cool.’ I gave a sarcastic ‘mmhmm’ and ignored him (until he raised his voice…to somebody in the parking lot).

I wasn’t expecting to see one of these in person. It’s almost like we have dozens of little boys around dressed up like U.S. soldiers and pretending that they’re occupying Iraq. It’s surreal.

      Maybe it’s a SWAT-type thing?

Why: Pigs are afraid of the poors and browns

How: They purchase military surplus, and this isn’t just confined to camo, personal weapons, and body armor. They also get surplus armored vehicles, helicopters, intelligence collection equipment, explosives, etc.

Military surplus I think. Also they are pathetic and like to play soldier with they 6 whole months of training about how to murder innocent civilians.

I am particularly confused by the guy in the background aiming his assault rifle at someone in this McDonald’s kitchen. Let me guess, he is aiming at an old Mexican lady.

What are the odds these goofy tacticool jocks are gonna piss themselves the moment they see war? Pretty good. The odds are pretty good.

No idea why they’re conducting a raid on a mcdonalds kitchen. Maybe a teen working there is having a mental health crisis idk.

Idk but this is a very American (Murican?) picture, to the point if you had to explain 21st century America this may be a good slideshow starter.
