Fine if abrasive. I could tell it was written by a Maoist way before I got to the bottom though because of the meaningless buzzwords thrown at PCUSA (right-deviationist! they uphold revisionism! social chauvinist revisionist right-deviationist!) It makes me laugh that people who talk like a CPC headline from the Cultural Revolution think they know what “the masses” want. The writer also accuses PCUSA of being a “sad reading group”, which while not totally off, I’m sure they’ve done far more than whatever Maoist sect they’re a part of. They had a delegation meet with communists in Western Sahara, for one, although I’m sure those people fighting for their liberation are also revisionists or whatever. Saying all this as a reformed Maoist, should be noted.

However, I agree, “the masses” do not want socialist patriotism, nor do they need it, and the “patriotic socialists” keep outing themselves as being idiots and reactionaries over and over – Maupin supporting Dutch kulaks and Haz wanting to become a landlord, just for a couple of examples.
