Love constant heatwave summer and will love cold unheated winter even more soon! I cannot wait to see what else capitalism has in store for us

Germany has until winter to decide, remain in the EU and collapse, or exit and survive.

They’ll burn coal, wood, let lots of the proletariat die and scream and sob about evil Russians and think them such martyrs for liberalism for standing up to Russia. People forget sometimes the Christian martyr-persecution complex that still lurks deep in the ideology of secular liberal Europeans. No longer for Christianity/Christ but for liberalism, “liberal values”, etc. You just have to stoke that and they’ll take a lot of punishment. That plus this end of history resignation people have towards capitalism and liberalism means even if they hate it they truly, deeply feel there’s no other choice, that it’s liberalism or barbarism and no matter how bad liberalism gets it’s better than the boogeyman Russia and that they’re holding the line against it.

Edit: I think it will if anything be used to whip up fascism against the climate agenda, people will say the liberal government is preventing them from using coal or other cheap means, there will be a push and you could see a popular fascist movement emerging around cheap energy at any cost which at least some if not many Euro-liberals will resist giving into.

More than any other member state Germany is the EU. Germany will only exit the EU when they both collapse.

Yea definitely they are pretty solidly entrenched within EU politics, I don’t see a quick change anytime soon
