When you get a laptop as a Linux user, the first step is going to be to flash it with your Linux distro of choice. However, there are laptops that come pre-instlaled with Linux. These can range from budget laptops that are only made cheaper by not requiring Windows, to powerhouses that are made for software engineers and gamers. So, I am going to go over three of the best Linux laptops.

    all Intel (except the system76) , bleh. I’d rather get a new ryzen laptop. the Lenovo legion 5 is great plus it has a dedicated Nvidia gpu in addition to the igpu. plus from what I’ve read it works great on Linux, many users have even gotten vfio pass through working for the Nvidia gpu. plus it’s only ~800 bucks.

    also, purism sucks. I can’t imagine why anyone would choose to give that company more money after they’ve screwed so many people over with their overpriced phone.

    edit: still fail to see the advantage to these ‘linux’ laptops besides vendor support. do they come with Intel ME removed? core/libreboot support? anything I can’t find on a normal laptop for less than half the price?
