Immigration lawyers’ marketing tactics always seem super predatory to me, like, even more predatory than your garden variety marketing. Speaking as someone who’s been through the immigration process.

It’s a lot of paperwork and extremely convoluted qualification requirements, so having a lawyer definitely helps, not denying that. You also have to prove that you’re fluent in either English or French and know a lot about Canadian history, law, culture, etc (probably more than a lot of natural born Canadians) when you get your citizenship, it’s called “integration” and yes you literally take a test. But, that’s all par for the course for immigration to any country, what I disagree with by far the most is their marketing that “you, yes YOU, will definitely find a better life in Canada, so invest in your future by paying me!” You definitey won’t necessarily be better off even if you qualify (the number of people going back to their birth country after a few years is proof of that), but they’re acting like literally everyone should immigrate to Canada.
