They’re ditching the black sun from their insignia.

It would be unsurprising if all the coverage of Azov from a few years ago (where mainstream media was acknowledging they were Nazis and documenting their youth camps etc) started disappearing.

Please make copies if you can. I know nothing on the internet ever really disappears, but the propaganda machine can effectively suppress. Make them work for it.

You don’t understand, tankie. They used to be a group of genocidal maniacs with nazi symbolism; now they’re a group of genocidal maniacs without nazi symbolism. EUROPE IS SAVED!

I’ll say it again, libs don’t care about content, just about looks. Slapping another patch on your neonazi squad will not stop them from being nazi’s. If that were the case, the best tactic in WW2 would be to just change flags throughout Germany.

Also, gtfo with your Russian propagandist. Saying someone is a nazi because they openly support being a Nazi while wearing nazi insignia is not propaganda. Facts are not propaganda.

You need to look up the definition of propaganda, because it sounds like you have the American definition (i.e. the one where the ‘good guys’/Americans don’t do it and only lying baddies do). Propaganda can be truth. If you propogate an idea, whether truth or lie, you’re propagandizing. Having to explain the meaning of words to people is something I expect to have to do on reddit and twitter, not here.

And yes, of course libs only care about looks. That’s why we should be pushing back against any effort Azov makes to change their brand. That’s exactly the point of my OP. Why you getting so shirty with me?

I can see why you’d think this point was directed at you, but I was ranting at The Times lol. I agree 100% with your post. I agree we should tackle every effort Azov and the West make at cleaning up their image.

The svoboda heared our feedback about how their simbol is very bad and should be removed, so they changed it to an less toxic simbol, they also moved their HQ to the US because people where relating them to the infamous NSDAP, so everything is ok now!

Inshallah, by the time the war ends, there won’t be a single Azov member left alive from Ivano-Frankivsk to the Luhansk PR. Sila v Pravde!

Oh no! The Russians exploited the very clear neo-nazi symbol. How did they do this to a neo-nazi symbol, making it look bad and such.

What part of that is propaganda? They’re an openly Nazi military force, no one made that up.

I didn’t realise there was a battalion left to rebrand… still, I suppose they must find something to do as they await trial.

Reading between the lines, they’re bolstering the regiment with non-nazis and scrubbing their image - either in anticipation of being made to stand trial, or to try to stop haemorrhaging so much proof of nazism every time one of them gets captured or has a camera pointed at them.

Azov Battalion drops neo-Nazi symbol exploited by Russian propagandists

That sounds like a good thing to me

    How? Why? What’s the precedent?

      Did you read the article?

Making it easier for liberals to worm their way to the belief that they aren’t supporting Nazis isn’t a good thing.

Pretty much what Nazis in the US figured out decades ago.
