I’m starting to see more and more comments in Reddit of people wanting some problems at home dealt with before supporting Ukraine. They may be looking at this from a libertarian view point of America first but that seems less harmful than the lib “save the world” shit.

It might also be the effect of feeding people the same narrative “uKrAinE nEEdS AId” over and over again. People just gets fed up and tired then says fuck this shit. No more

Personally, I’m enjoying seeing these stupid folk who bought the Ukraine kool-aids and offered “shelter” to some refugees and are now stuck with them, seeing how gross they are and difficult it is, as gov reminded them they have took the responsibility and they couldn’t cancel it as they wish.

They see their cost of life increases while the UKies got free incomes, free family support funds and other advantageous perks (schools and co) over tax payers AND don’ t even participate. :)

I wouldn’t consider refugees disgusting.

I consider Nazis disgusting. I worry many of them have slipped in with the refugees.

I don’t mind offering them access to refugee centers and be on the wait list like the others but not the wildcard Ukrainians have right now.

  • no waiting list (lucky non-ukrainians refugees have to wait 3 years, wtf?!)
  • basic income BUT income higher than for an unemployed citizen (non-ukrainian refugees have no income at all)
  • free access to school while it is difficult for a lot of citizen in insecure situation, I don’t even talk about non-ukrainian refugees.
  • driving with their non-compliant car (pollution class) while taxpayers had to change their own car (on fishy thresholds) or can’t access some city.

Tolerating neo-nazis, giving wildcard to white-ass people… if it is not a provocation and aggression, i don’t know what it is…

Maybe it’s the aid part that has upset them. “Whoa there I thought we were just buying guns”

I assume they’ve seen the billions in aid going to Ukraine during a period of high inflation and balked.

Oh yeah, even if I was the staunchest Ukraine supporter, I would still be livid at the idea that those people are getting more attention from the US government than US citizens. All this shit about pictures of sad little girls with a caption like “She’s worth high gas prices” won’t work forever.

The narrative is slipping a bit. I wonder what the favorability is of the media overall in the USA? It can’t be much higher than Congress.

Maybe in the US. Here in Europe people think Zelensky is some kind of war hero, and that Russia would have invaded us all if it weren’t for Ukraine. Not everyone believes this, but there is a great deal of brainwashing going on.

It’s “Poland saving Europe from le 'orrible Turks” all over again…

“Nonono guys trust me, we are the only thing here keeping you safe from the horrible communists, so give me all of this land i totally deserve and will totally not cause diplomatic problems in the future so i can keep you safe with my all might army (also please can you send here uhhhhh most of your army so the soviets wont crush us? Thx bro)”

The longer the war goes on, the more and more the narrative falls apart. The narrative that Ukraine are unequivocally the good guys is becoming untenable because we hear about a new Nazi war crime every week, the narrative that the army needs more aid is starting to fail because we’re about to give those douchebags $40 billion dollars. The only thing keeping support up is atrocity propaganda.

It’s not a good ratio, but it’s better than I thought (although it only covered 1500 people, so who knows what the rest think)

Amerikans have no business in Russia, we do have a responsibility to overthrow our own regime.

More and more people wake up every day and realize they’ve been had. All the Anti-Putin stuff is just a distraction from our own domestic problems and that day is getting ever closer when people simply can’t ignore it any more. I think gas prices are going to be the tipping point if this inflation keeps up.

hahaha DPRK being a bigger threat to USA than Russia is peak Yellow Peril

The country you already bombed to pieces and has 0 influence on world markets and geopolitics is a bigger threat than the world’s second strongest military, second strongest nuclear stockpile, and one of the biggest players in exporting energy and food?

The US can’t just come out and say that we seek the destruction of China yet because we still rely on them for…everything. So North Korea is the next logical choice to frame as our “great enemy.”

I’m pretty sure it’s more about hate for Biden from GOP supporters but it’s still funny to look at
