I consider myself an ML. Mao was important, but not universally applicable. I also quite like Deng and Gramsci.

I consider myself to be a “Classical” Marxist-Leninist but updated to the 21st century.

I strongly support Socialism with Chinese Characteristics, Juche, Chavismo and Mao Zedong Thought and limited practical critical support of Ba’athist Islamic socialism and Liberation Theology.

I consider the PRC, Cuba, Laos, DPRK and Belarus to be socialist. Venezuela and Bolivia are demsoc states and I support Syria, Iran, Nicaragua, Zimbabwe, Russia and the Donetsk region in an anti-imperialist sense.

I agree with most of this if not all, where would be a good place to find YT videos on these or documentaries bc it’s tough to find stuff out there that isn’t capitalist propaganda

im not a communist, i just support communists. Being a communist implies a level of engagement in party work that i simply dont have the brainpower to do

Does it? A party shouldn’t just be engaging in things that require a lot of brainpower. Planning doesn’t mean anything without labor.

Mutual aid relies much more on time, labor and care than it does brainpower. The FBI didn’t consider the Black Panthers the biggest threat to national security because of them having really brainy ideas, it was the Free Breakfast for Children program and other community aid that made them so popular and potent.

Not to speak for, uh, @MichaelParenti here, but my local MLs require you to do agitation at your place of work to join, so me as an unemployed hobo with a lot of mental health issues means no join. I can just hang out though, though my participation doesn’t amount to much. :/

I wouldn’t be so sure, providing perspective to those with less struggle is especially important for an economic ideology. Ever notice how many politicians seem so out-of-touch when trying to relate to regular people? I don’t want to see our parties ending up like that. I don’t know their situation, but I think those local MLs are foolish for making that a requirement to join.

There is a poll. Try using the lemmygrad website if you are not already.

Can’t say I was expecting Socialism with Chinese Characteristics to be part of the poll, but yet I’m still disappointed.

What if I just want the proletariat to own the means of production but am too busy/lazy to get off my stupid lib ass and read more than like half of Blackshirts and Red but also will watch any and every video I can find of Parenti? Even if they aren’t yellow.
