Even stealing makes it sound more benign than what’s actually happening which is mass exploitation.

I’m just thinking, how do we calculate how much we are taxing to the billionaires. Say that all this money actually belongs to the 1.3 million amazon workers. He made 55 billion dollars the first half of 2020. In that case, he should have paid out an additional 7000 dollars to each of his employees every month over 6 months.

Most of them pay far less taxes than the standard, they’re even able to skirt most capital gains taxes via offshoring schemes. Amazon paid no income taxes until 2017, and now is taxed at 1.7%. For reference that’s 10x lower than what minimum wage workers in the US pay.

Good point. So if the tax rate was lets say 30%, the workers would still see an additional 4900 dollars in sallary every month.

How much does workers for amazon earn in half a year? That way we can calculate how much they are taxing to Bezos.

I think the solution should be to require all private enterprise to be cooperatively owned thus avoiding this problem entirely.
