Wiki - The paradox of tolerance states that if a society is tolerant without limit, its ability to be tolerant is eventually ceased or destroyed by the intolerant. Karl Popper described it as the seemingly self-contradictory idea that in order to maintain a tolerant society, the society must retain the right to be intolerant of intolerance.
It’s not a “physical” contract, it’s a contract in the colloquial sense. You didn’t have to sign anything because there is nothing to sign. There is no author because no single person wrote it. You are not legally bound to it but are practically bound to it.
If you don’t believe me, you can go outside and start punching cops in the nose. You may not have signed a piece of paper agreeing to go to jail, but that is what you can expect.
Agreed, the social contract does not exist!
Neither does gravity, you should go jump off a bridge to stick it to the man.
Why do you think gravity doesn’t exist?
Is this because you think “it’s a theory?”
Mathematics is also a theory, and yet 1+1 still = 2. Some theories are proven.
Gravity does exist.
Prove it. Jump off a bridge and record it. Explode on impact or it didn’t happen.
Why are you advocating for my death?
Theories are not proven, that’s basic science.
What is it that you think science does?
