Colombian government withdraws their proposal of a new bill to taxing daily needs, as it receives rejection and massive protest.

Nevertheless, the proposed bill was rejected by the indigenous people, opposition, students, other civil society organizations, and even the governing party with its close allies.

Most of them have described the proposed bill as untimely and incredibly aggressive with the middle and working classes. The proposal went as far as adding a tax to essential items, including Value Added Tax (VAT) on daily needs and required public services.
