It was pretty rough here in Netherlands in 2021, on the Covid front we had reoccuring lockdowns and a nightly curfew for the first 4 months of 2021. Most of the lockdown rules weren’t lifted until the day after the “special military operation” started in February 2022 (incidentally). So we didn’t even get 1 day of social enjoyment before this next “current horrifying thing” started. Not trying to rant, it’s just been really taxing and with each of these crises building up it seems like IRL friend groups get smaller and smaller and it all makes me sad. :-(
