I agree with the conclusion that we should rid ourselves of guilt and shame, but I think that the problem is how much capitalist propaganda makes us suppress/ guilt and shame instead of exploring it and reconciling those emotions with our conditions.

Just saying “I shouldn’t feel guilty or ashamed” misses the opportunity to explore where those emotions came from. Like stealing from a co-worker or an old woman should make you feel guilty because you’re directly effecting that person’s conditions and means of subsistence, but stealing from your boss shouldn’t because no one will be harmed by that action, yet we still feel guilt.

Meanwhile the capitalist feels no guilt in perpetuating the system of wage slavery and poverty that is necessary to maintain his extraction and exploitation. So why do we feel guilty when taking back something already stolen from us?

Indeed. Guilt and shame for no reason are what I have been experiencing for years. Feeling guilty and ashamed for existing is what monotheistic religions perpetuate, and what I have actively been fighting against.
