I’ve noticed that anything that so much as mentions China very quickly ends up with at least one downvote, sometimes more. As far as I can tell, they’re just downvoting anything related to China as a matter of principle. They’re certainly not bothering to ask any questions or investigate further. Should this sort of behavior be allowed?

    Admins with access to the instance’s database have banned a person for doing this before. We can do it again. I’m not opposed to it.

    That could be from users on lemmy.ml. Personally I dont think its worth to dig into the database because of that, someone will always disagree.

    There’s not a lot that can be done about it, other than a dev doing a bit of deeper research and banning that person.
