Just looked it up, apparently its “600 US groups linked to the CPC”. So basically a McCarthyist witch-hunt.
In related news, a university I live close to, shut down its Confucius institute, because the US department of Defense (DoD), which has relations with the university, asked them to do so. So this is very much taking place.
Only 600 reasons? Ooh the CIA is not gonna like that, gonna have to fire these editors and rehire CIA assets instead.
