He died in his squad car, alone. Shot down by some coward afraid to face him man to man. Criminals are, of course, the scum of the earth, but whoever took the life of this man was assuredly one of the worst. And now, in his honor, I offer up a prayer for his eternal soul.

Interesting thing about the Lords Prayer… You ask God to forgive your trespasses, as you forgive others who trespass against you. If any given person does not forgive others, then they are praying for that same amount of forgiveness (none) for themselves from God.
The Lord may forgive his murderer, but I pray that the courts of man do not.
