In Chinese internet there are a lot of fake leftists called 网左. 网means internet,左means leftist. Well it doesn’t mean leftists who use the internet,it refers to a particular group. I have to tell you what they are in fact. 网左 are not leftists at all!They don’t know anything about Marxism,but they love to quote Marx,Lenin or other leaders’ article. They regard Mao’s Anthology as Bible,no matter who dares to question,网左 will tell him”You haven’t read Mao’s Anthology,you fuking rightist!”They deeply believe China is a Revisionism country,China is even worse than Capitalism countries(That’s because in Europe and America,people are richer),they think China is rich enough to let them live better than Europe and America. But now they are poorer than Western. If someone says”Mao’s century was poor”,he will be rightist too. They think they can represent the poorest people,everyday you can see then say”Kill all capitalists!”Without doubt The Cultural Revolution and the Great Leap Forward were terrible mistakes,many of them support. They will tell you”Why China now says they were mistakes?Because today’s China is revisionism.They are even eager for the World War Ⅲ,they think they will have the opportunity to revolutionize! Why do they hate CPC so much?In fact they are almost all from middle class families. Well they are not libs. They can be everything, no matter libs, communists and capitalists, in fact, they are just egoists. Fascism and feudalism are outdated, no countries are under their control, so they don’t choose to be Fascist and feudalist. In China people usually think capitalism is bad so egoists don’t choose to be capitalist. (Almost no one likes libs in China) So the only option for China’s egoists is communism. They start to present to be communists. (Fake communists in China are usually from rich families, the poorest people in China’s lifes have improved a lot recent 10 years but middle class’ don’t improve a lot.I think that’s why middle class’ egoisits now pretending to be communists)

Yeah, Maoists are a new phenomenon, though there has been pushback from people that know the value of Mao Zedong Thought and its antithetical nature to Chairman Gonzalo’s Maoism.

I kinda think that these fake leftists, or “左壬” as we more frequently refers to, deconstructed Mao’s thought with their usual postmodernism bs, and built up an “ideology” which is basically neoliberalism in a flashy wrap of old school Chinese communism. Though not that hard to neutralize for an educated communist, this thought can be highly deceptive and harmful for those who are new to communism theory. We gotta keep on criticizing and self criticizing, folks.

They also know what they want——returning to Mao’s century is impossible, they actually know Mao’s measures aren’t suitable for now. they are just egoists. Despite the fact that they live better than most Chinese people, they don’t think it’s enough. Why don’t I have expensive NIKE’s shoes?(Some shoes of Nike are expensive in China but you can choose China’s own shoes, much cheaper and the same quality) Why don’t I own a 500 square meters house in the center of certain big city ?(in Chinese rurals a big house is really cheap, each of my relatives’ family have a 300 square meters house in rural. I’ve met plenty of Chinese west-lovers who hate China and want praise from westerners for hating China, but i’ve never met any radical maoists. I’ve also never really met any dedicated Marxist-Leninist Chinese really.

If someone says “cultural revolution was the best” in real live I promise people around him will think he is a removed. Every day millions of CPC members working in poor areas, the living conditions are usually not good and they don’t have high wage. I know a 25-year-old teacher who volunteers to work in far rural in Sichuan for 2 years,he told me that he gets 1500RMB per month. I also have plan to be a teacher in certain poor place for years when being a college student(I am senior high school student now). Aren’t they dedicated?
Yes, although i am in China there are subcultures i am not seeing due to language limitations, i have better Chinese than most foreigners but browsing weibo and such is a lot of effort and not relaxing. I want to see how nationalistic people have become too, Chinese people are generally too polite to foreigners so i cant tell if they secretly hate me or not.
