It really sounds amazing for 3kbps, but the main issue I hear is that it seems to makes speakers almost unrecognizable, which at least for telephone calls is probably a bit strange.

I think the speakers don’t sound less recognizable than on opus.
Also, the way a voice sounds through a telephone has always been different than in person.
Impressive, compares really well to opus. I wonder what it would sound like at comparable higher qualities.
