    Aaaaaand still zero deaths after how many months of protests. Their murderer is walking free, and their capitalists are safe, I don’t know what else the protestors are after, except martyrdom with shit like this to please the brits.

    US police kill more innocent ppl in a given day, and yet I’m sure that if this resulted in a single death, the west would be contemplating WW3.

      Independence from PRC, because their racist capitalists are tired of the CCP trying to checks notes extend assistance in reducing poverty, homelessness, etc. At this point, all of their justifiers have worn off. The Murderer is free - can’t protest China trying to arrest him anymore. China’s proven (and further HK itself) that they’ll tolerate dissent and aren’t as authoritarian as people want to believe - so they can’t really argue that they’ll be murdered for protesting anymore. Now all they have is the bourgeoisie to guide them, which greatly uncovers their actual reasoning to protest.

        It’s def worth asking /r/communism or /r/communism101… I know even western media admits the crime rates per capita are much lower and going down a lot in the PRC, and the incarceration rate (ignoring the recent claims of billions of Uyghurs imprisoned ), is middle of the pack of countries (~134 imprisoned / 100k ppl)

        I’d also be interested to learn specifics about police killings / wrongful deaths and such.

        There is also the testimony of ppl like Huey P Newton visiting China, and praising them as being completely different from US cops, there they serve the people rather than benefit monetarily from their subjugation.

        I also have these two, the interview is particularly good for showing how different the demeanor is for police in China.

      actually now there been a death … it was a random civilian that was cleaning the street and some random cockroach threw a brick at is head and now he is dead. now if it ain’t a showing of police brutality well… I know what is , well to be true , not in hongkong but if we go to canada ehhh…

        yuuuup. First death was not by police, but an anti-china protester killing an innocent bystander trying to clean the street.
