There has been no progress in the talks between the farmers and the government which is very promising.
Seems like Modi’s not even offering anything other than delaying when the laws take effect. Based farmers want fixed commodity prices, gov’t investment and subsidies.
No. Farmers want them to scrap (scrape?) the laws and both sides are not budging. Part of the reason why BJP are free to be this adamant is that no national opposition can capitalise on this because deep down people know all of them are perfectly capable of enacting laws like this. So this is the most pronounced class struggle in our recent history.
