    this is interesting. I think some hardcore vim people would have a minor heart attack seeing the animations but that’s the beauty of open source

    Before switching to helix (to me its more intuitive and I like the design decisions it made), neovide was the only thing holding me into Neovim. Its pretty good, and fast too. Try it!

        @Kaidao @flying_platypus been using helix as my primary text editor for almost a year now and nothing has come close to it for me. Community is super welcoming aswell and contributing has been the easiest/smoothest experience in OSS ive encountered so far.

          Only thing I’m really hoping they get done ASAP is a plugins system. That’d just make helix into THE editor for me. I want to learn rust anyway, but now I really want to just so I can contribute to the project…
