We do a little trolling. Check out the massive amounts of racist comments already.

Bets on this getting removed within a few hours.

Comments that piss me off the most are the ones are like:

Sadly this nuance is lacking when it comes to non-US places lmao

From my experience when US is criticised it is usually done by making jokes about stereotypes like gun laws, being fat etc. Most of the time if you bring up actual issues like the genocide of the natives, the country being a racist prison state or the imperialist plunder the response is lukewarm at best. And then you have people playing victim like this.

This is not considered cruel and unusual punishment btw (just like solitary) because the Supreme Court ruled that a punishment has to be both cruel and unusual to be unconstitutional. Since this is usual its not illegal

I seriously wonder how many people read it as “concentration camp in Angola”. Because hurr durr Angola flag socialist, hurr durr Gulag!

It seems that dozens of socialists have intervened, so the comment section was not as dreadful as I was expecting. Of course, there were still a few of those ‘typical’ replies:

Bro this is prison. Not even close to a concentration camp

This may be one of the most annoying comments that you can find beside outright applause, because although it is technically true (not all prisons or work camps are concentration camps), it only misses the point. They should be more worried about the thousands of harmless people being treated almost exactly like slaves than they should be about a slight miscaption, and working for the upper classes is unlikely to help them much in terms of rehabilitation.

I’ve noticed that a lot of other poor people have a tendency to call their oppressors fascists. I usually find that inaccurate, personally, but I’m not gonna interrupt them every time they do that just to give them a terminology lesson. That’d be obnoxious.

When you post a pic of a legitimate and well documented US issue, it’s “politics” and therefore “removed from our apolitical sub”.

When you post any out of context accusatory image of China, Cuba, Venezuela, etc, it’s “raising awareness of human rights issues” and “how dare you speak out against this post! Don’t you know that you don’t get freedom of speech under communism?!”
