Some merely serve the purpose of applying pressure on a comprador regime that may be getting too comfortable and independent minded, to ensure they remain loyal, make them feel insecure in their position and understand that, should they step out of line, the US can immediately activate its regime change apparatus and do to them what was just done to Nepal.
