ML with MZT is very different to MLM. Mao’s work (before the social imperialism stuff anyway) is of course of great value, but it’s not a ‘higher stage’ of analysis and certainly not universal as MLMs proclaim.

Ah, the funniest thing in my experience is how little “Maoists” actually uphold Mao. Much of the modern ideology is based on the works of Gonzalo (even the “non-Gonzaloist” Maoists), Sison, J. Moufawad-Paul, etc. In those circles I once frequented Mao is little more than a lionized historical figure who did communism correctly (and it was the last time it has ever or will ever be done correctly 🙄)

MLM was ‘synthesized’ by a group known as the Revolutionary Internationalist Movement as well as Amerikan groups like the revcoms / RCP. Those are the true progenitors of the ideology.

Admittedly I haven’t read any J Moufawad-Paul, but I’ve heard his name in conjunction with Sakai like 1,000 times so idk how to feel. Gonzalo is garbage and Posadists need to play Mass Effect or watch Star Wars instead of trying to make an ideology out of whatever space-age fantasy they had their first wet dream about

Legit the only good thing about Maoism is arguably the aesthetic. It’s just like anarchism but red, no wonder why all the edgy teens love it. Unfortunately, MLMs are just as useless in real life as anarchists are, only ordinary MLs succeed beyond aesthetics.
