I think they meant all this as in pen and paper RPG game. A lot of Japanese and especially Chinese fantasy books, games etc shows Buddha (and generally buddhist characters) as devoted to defensive powers and very hard to physically or magically defeat, but with offensive powers much lesser, mostly focusing on exorcising demons and making spiritual attacks against sinners.
It’s a bad sign when liberalism has gotten so ridiculous that it’s hard to tell satire from the genuine article.
Also, what the heck do they mean by Buddha being “tanky as hell?” Was Gautama the original Stalinist?

Seems more like an mmo to me considering the witch fought raid bosses and farmed bosses to get loot that increases a stat by a tiny amount.
