It is hard to find a perfect party especially in the West where the left is generally in a deplorable state, but having the correct anti-imperialist position on NATO and its proxy wars against Russia and China must be the litmus test for any principled communist org today.
My view at the moment is that it is easier to turn a party around on reactionary social views than it is to turn one that is full of imperialism apologists, both-siders and western chauvinists. At the very latest when the older members who still cling to conservative views on gender issues retire or die off the younger members will be able to implement a new progressive party line. Whereas if the party already has a wrong political line on NATO’s imperialist aggression against Russia and China that is going to be much harder to fight against because the imperialist line is constantly reinforced by all of the liberal faux-left media’s barrage of propaganda.
