I’m actually starting to like the cold in my house in a therapeutic way. Like, it doesn’t bother me as much as I thought it would. And I figured out that if you keep going after the initial shock of stepping into a cold room (naked after a shower for example) you eventually will be able to regulate your reaction and to go on as if nothing is happening. Today I stood in my bathroom of 10 degrees C with the windows open, and after one minute of shivering like a madman I went on like usual for another 20 minutes.

It also makes me reflect on how insanely privileged I am to be able to turn my house into a tropical island with the turn of a button. I’m going to drastically change my way of consuming damaging sources of energy as I can manage just fine without them.

This doesn’t mean that I want everyone to do this though. It’s rough for a lot of people in my country and they need to be able to live a comfortable life, like everyone else around the world.
