Top Ukrainian security officials are refuting U.S. estimates of how many Ukrainian soldiers have been killed or injured in the war. Last week, the U.S. chair of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen. Mark Milley, said around 100,000 Ukrainian troops have been killed or injured.

Ukrainian officials are now saying that figure is “not entirely true.”

Oleksiy Danilov, Ukraine’s secretary of National Security and Defense Council, said the casualty figures are “definitely not those.”

So The West and Ukraine probably know exactly how many soldiers have died already. The things is, what will they do when the number of soldiers left gets too low for them to realistically turn the tide? I can’t see the West admitting defeat in any way in this conflict.

They’ll just go “well Russia didn’t take Kiev in 72 hours so they’re weak”

They’d either admit defeat or just send their own troops over

At this point, it’s a pretty safe bet that NATO troops are engaging Russian troops on the ground.

They were never going to turn the tide. The war will continue until NATO gets involved, a treaty is signed or Putin is satisfied.
