There’s videos going around of Hu being removed from the summit as he’s talking with Xi. They claim it’s because he voiced objections to Xi taking a 3rd term or something? I generally support Xi and the direction the CPC has been going but idk much about Hu and what he did. My “China bad” deprogramming only started a few years ago and I haven’t really read much about the CPC before Xi yet.

I don’t trust anything the western media says for obvious reasons. I do however trust your all’s insight into these matters. I’m just bad at finding sources on this stuff that is outside of the western sphere of influence.

Edit: Fixed CCP ➡️ CPC

Its probably just cause hes old af. He had to be escorted into the summit a few days ago and Xi had to remind him to sit down. He’s 80 by now

That’s my assumption too. There was something about the way he was looking around that seemed disoriented. I think it was an “ok grandpa time for your pills” moment and most likely they were trying to protect his dignity.

same. I second the theory that he was removed so he doesn’t do something inappropriate and embarrass himself and taint his legacy.

But then, why did Wang Huning stop Li Zhanshu from helping Hu Jintao? This is quite puzzling to me.

Don’t subscribe to Kremlinology. People do or don’t do things for various reasons.

I’m not a subscriber to Kremlinology. I’m just curious and want answers to questions that I have. As a person with low EQ, it would really help me if I understood what was going on in Wang’s head and why he made such decisions. Maybe next time I’m with my boss I can remember the lessons here and it’ll help me not do something wrong.
