They don’t have different perspectives, but they would like to get rid of him. The military has been occupying important postions since Michel Temer’s goverment, it didn’t start with Bolsonaro.

Temer rose to power after a impeachment on president Dilma from the Workers Party (PT) and quickly implemented several anti-democratic and neoliberal reforms that fucked everyone up.

This coup against PT was being planned for a long time with full support of the bourgeoisie, imperialistic forces and the army, but the idea was for someone a little more “contained” to rise to power. Like someone from PSDB, the main opposition party to PT during its governments.

Unfortunately, things got out of hand and Bolsonaro quickly rose in power through controversies. For exemple, he defended the military dictatorship in 64 and during Dilma’s impeachment, he dedicated his vote to the general that tortured her during that time. Not to mention the misoginist/LGBTphobic/racist comments.

He presented himself as the only one capable of having a real chance in defeating Lula in 2018 and this is why the bourgeoisie, army and the media supported him. His vice, Hamilton Mourão, is a general.

But Bolsonaro is dumb as fuck and simply cant shut the fuck up, so he is always involved in polemics, there are also several corruption scandals poping up and that genius is blocking and terminating every investigation (not sus at all). So the media and the army would rather have a more well behaved liberal to run the country instead of a walking mass.

Tldr; If Bolsonaro wins, the military won’t challenge him because he isnt the one in charge. The army is, and Bolsonaro knows that. The second he challenges the army he is gone and his vice would rise to power.
