So, in a few weeks it is time for the annual festival of the Worker’s Party of Belgium (PVDA/PTB) called Manifiesta. Each year some 10 000-15 000 people buy tickets. This year , one of the “quality” papers felt the need to write an article about some of the guests coming. I’ll translate the introduction just to show how ridiculous they sound.

A Chinese propaganda journalist, a German anti-imperialist and a Ukrainian Zelenski critic: the line-up for a debate about Ukraine at Manifiesta shows how much the PVDA keeps struggling with its international principles.

I find it hillarious how they mention the anti-imperialist in a negative way. Also the Ukrainian guest critiques Zelenski and Nato but also condemns the invasion. And our Chinese “propagandist” coming to speak is the ever wonderful Chen Weihua so that’s incredibely based.

Anyway if you live in or near Belgium, I highly recommend to come. It is the weekend of 17 and 18 september and there will be tons of international guests and delegations from Cuba, Vietnam, China, Palestine, Greece and more!
