r/ES has always been weird, this is just completely masks off. They used to hide it better.
Note that they haven’t grown very much on reddit in the past year or two, incredibly. I wouldn’t be surprised if they started a cult down the line. That’s usually how it goes with these Strasserist types.
I remember Frogsknecht having some… interesting takes regarding Duterte, and albanianbolshevik consistently claiming that “LGBT imperialism” was a huge problem in his country and was anti-communist. I must have been there whenever there was still dialogue between genzedongers and ES users, as those comments were usually very controversial upvote/downvote and argued about. I believe frogsknecht banned a Filipino comrade for having “Maoist sympathies” or some shit because they said Duterte was not a Marxist-Leninist, as frogsknecht had claimed.
It’s sort of incredible watching the degeneration of a mind. Also sad. I think he must have thought he was onto some sort of contrarian super-truth that Marxist-Leninists are not aware of or something, and that led him further and further down the path of supporting full blown fascism. I’d wager he’s fallen into some really fucked up rabbit holes – don’t mean to psychoanalyze him or anything, just wild how they still call themselves communists.
They’ve also been extremely anti-trans for as long as I can remember. I’d have to find some of the old posts from albanianbolshevik and frogsknecht because its particularly heinous.
