He and MLK are chosen because they were “peaceful” and the politics can be stripped out of their movements, to instil in children that violence isn’t a valid means of bringing change. I.E. they’re used to indoctrinate children into refusing to revolt against the state.
Sounds like the exact reason why Gandhi is taught to us in school. Except they dont mention any of the bad parts.
