Vladimir Putin just announced that Azovstal will not be stormed in order to save russian lives. Instead, a total blockade of Azovstal and its underground tunnel system will be imposed. Bombing of the complex will still continue though. Now the nazis will have to choose between surrendering or starving to death. Putin also announced the total liberation of Mariupol (except for Azovstal) and said all soldiers who participated in its liberation would be awarded for heroism. He also said April 21 will be from now on the date of the Second Liberation of Mariupol.

UPDATE: Russian forces have taken control of the ground level part of Azovstal. Only the tunnels remain out of control. Azov is blocked underground.
